LEFT RIGHT…

The military march "left, right, left" is given another dimension in this artwork when the soldier's feet are replaced by those young woman. Every new step, a new pair of shoes appears on her feet. In the short span of the video some sixty shoes of different sizes, shapes and colors, pass before our eyes puised on the beat of the martial march. The artwork substitutes color to darkness, sparkles to dullness, variety to confomity, aesthetics to the practical, elegance to coarseness, femininity to masculinity. However the rhythm and commitment remain.
