The ten digits
The sculpture is composed of a polished mirror brass stele which holds a smartphone on top, tightly held by four vices. On each side of the stele are engraved ten Roman numerals on each of the two columns. Under every Roman numeral is painted an overtaxed phone number that begins with 08. The viewer is prompted to call one of these numbers after which the smartphone rings and then displays a commandment such as :"Shall not cause a financial crisis" / "Shall not damage the Earth's climate"…
The artwork reflects on the sacred, modern technologies and beyond the status of viewer, the human condition.
