presents a trot centaur whose face is covered with a gas mark. This artwork testifies to a research on animation alluding to Muybridge’s vibrant photographs. As in other artworks of the artist, we find here the theme of effort, performance, quest and alienation.
The gradual movement imposed over the frames refers to an endless sequence through which the masked centaur protects itself from its deleterious environment. Concealed, the hybrid character is at the same time vulnerable and protected from danger.
